Terms and Conditions

Agreement for Professional Services

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Energy Trends and the Client.  In these terms, ‘Services’ refers to energy cost reviews, project management, and efficiency consultancy provided by Energy Trends.  ‘Client’ refers to the individual or entity engaging our services.  By instructing Energy Trends to proceed with a proposal, the Client accepts these terms in full.  We provide consultancy services with reasonable skill and care, ensuring all advice aligns with current UK energy industry standards and efficiency regulations.

Operational Scope and Responsibilities

Energy Trends provides bespoke consultancy based on data provided by the Client.  The Client is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all data, including utility bills and infrastructure records, necessary for us to perform the Services.  Proposals remain valid for thirty days and are subject to change if the scope of work is modified.  Where Fees are levied, these are payable within thirty days of the invoice date.  Late payments may incur interest charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act.  Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding proprietary information and trade secrets shared during the engagement.  All personal data will be processed in strict compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Intellectual property created specifically for the Client remains the property of Energy Trends until full payment is received, at which point a non-exclusive license is granted for internal business use.  While we strive for maximum cost reductions, Energy Trends does not guarantee specific external market fluctuations or third-party utility responses and limits liability to the total fees paid for the specific project in question.

Compliance and Legal Governance

Energy Trends operates with a zero-tolerance policy toward bribery and corruption, complying fully with the Bribery Act 2010.  Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other party breaches these terms or enters insolvency.  Where we recommend third-party suppliers, such as energy providers or equipment installers, the Client acknowledges that these are independent entities and Energy Trends holds no liability for their performance.  This agreement, and any disputes arising from it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland, falling under the exclusive jurisdiction of the United Kingdom courts.
